The Statistics Canada released its monthly report about retail sales volume. In June index fell by 0.4%, instead of gaining 0.2%, as expected. In May retail sales increased by 0.2%. The core index, excluding automobile sales also declined by 0.4% in June. The change follows 0.4% gain in volume in May.
