According to CMHC (Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation) Canadian seasonally adjusted annual rate of Housing Starts reached 197.900 units in January.
It is a slight decline from 199.900 reading in December, although analysts expected decrease to 193.000 units.
As for urban starts, the seasonally adjusted rate decline by 2.8% in January.
There was a slight reaction after report; CAD/USD was traded at 0.9920.
