The Confederation of British Industry reported today that realized sales index declined by 6.0% in April.
This means that 39% of British retailers reported an increase in sales and 33% of them recorded a decrease, comparing with last year.
Analysts expected a negative difference of 3.0%.
Previous month’s reading showed no change in realized sales index.
