According to French institute INSEE country’s consumer spending volume declined by seasonally adjusted 2.9% in March, instead of 1.6% estimated.
Prior month data showed 2.9% of gain, revised down from 3.0% reported previously.
March’s data filled full reading for first quarter of 2012, which showed an increase of 0.2%.
