The economy of euro area in the second quarter of 2012 shrank by 0.2% comparing with last three months- announced the statistical office Eurostat in the second calculation. Year on year GDP in the euro area fell in the second quarter by 0.5%, while in the first quarter did not change.
The fall in GDP in both cases came is in line with expectations.
