The research group- Markit released today flash data about euro zone’s purchasing managers’ index in manufacturing and services. As for the whole euro area PMI index in manufacturing reached 44.8 points and in services 46.8. Index below 50 indicates contraction. The biggest European economy- Germany also reported decrease in reading of PMI. Index in manufacturing area reached up to 44.7 and services 50.3 points. Reading over 50.0 shows economy expansion. French data showed an increase in both areas from 44.7 to 45.3 in manufacturing and 45.1 to 47.3 points in services.
