The wholesale prices index in the biggest European economy increased more than expected in April. Destatis reported today a seasonally adjusted 0.5% gain, instead of 0.3% forecasted. Prior month’s reading showed 0.9% increase. Comparing with April 2011 wholesale prices were up by 2.4% last month.
