The German unemployment rate fell to seasonally adjusted 6.8% against 6.9% in November.
According to Germany’s Federal Statistics Office the amount of unemployed people fell by 22 000 seasonally adjusted.
After November’s decrease by 23 000 analysts expected only 10 000 decline for December.
In total in Germany there are 2.89 million jobless people against 2.91 million in previous month.
Unemployment data had a good impact on euro, which kept on gaining against U.S. dollar, with a couple traded at 1.2988 after report release.
