Industrial production in Europe surprisingly rose in May…

Industrial production in the euro area in May 2012 increased by 0.6%.
Meanwhile reading from April showed a decrease by 1.1%, after correction – Eurostat announced today.
Analysts had expected that the production in May will not change. In annual terms, industrial production fell by 2.8% against expected decline of 3.2%.
In the EU-27 industrial production fell in May by 0.5%, while the former fell by 0.7 percent.
Yearly reading showed a decline in production in the EU 27 by 2.3%.
