Lower Jobless Rate for Canada

Canadian news about Employment Change and Jobless Rates was released a short while ago.  Canada gained a total of 22,300 jobs in May, even a little better than expectations at 21,800.  This does not seem much of a gain compared to April's gain of 58,300 jobs, but it is a reasonable number of job creations.

The good news of Employment Change also dropped the Unemployment Rate, which went from 7.6% in April, down to 7.4% in May.

The Canadian Dollar took well to the news, as USD/CAD dropped from trading at 0.9750 to 0.9729 a few minutes after news release.  Currently it's trading even lower at 0.9717.

EUR/CAD didn't seem to be affected much as it remained trading around the level of 1.4075.
