Sales of manufactures goods in Canada declined unexpectedly in April. The report released today by Statistics Canada showed a 0.8% decline in volume of manufactured goods. The reading was surprising, especially after last month’s gain of index by 1.9%. Economists forecasted at least 0.5% increase in sales.
