British HPI rose by 1% in 2011

U.K: Nationwide House Price Index

According to Nationwide Building Society month to month house price index fell to -0.2% from 0.4% in preceding month.

The decrease was unexpected for analysts, who estimated 0.3% increase.

In total house price fell to 163.822 pounds last month but for a whole 2011 year index rose by 1%.

It is not taken as an impressing result but 1% increase against slow economic growth and bad labor situation in U.K. is a good performance for House Price Index.

Also ongoing euro zone debt crisis had a negative impact on British economy.
