According to U.S. Labor Department number of people applied for unemployment assistance dropped to 348 000, reaching at the same time the lowest level in last four years.
For the previous week, ending March 17th analyst estimated only 3 000 drop to total 350 000.
Less volatile, four- week unemployment claims also declined to 355 000.
Unemployment data had positive impact on USD. Euro remained lower at 1.3150 after report release.
