The seasonally adjusted jobless rate in euro area reached 10.4% in December 2011 in line with analysts’ expectations.
Eurostat reported that it is the highest level in last 14 years.
The whole EU unemployment rate reached 9.9% in December.
The highest unemployment rate was reported in Spain: 22.9% and the lowest in Austria: 4.1%.
