Eurostat’s data showed today that unemployment rate in euro area reported increase to 10.9% in April, as expected.
The biggest European economy also reported negative unemployment change in April.
Meanwhile, when analysts expected a 10 000 decrease in number of jobless people, the number increased by 19 000.
After that unemployment rate in Germany increased to 6.8%.
US dollar remained higher against EUR after the news and was traded at 1.3168.
