Unemployment rate in Europe

The unemployment rate in the euro area in July, after adjustment for seasonal factors reached 11.3% – informed Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
Analysts had expected the unemployment rate at 11.3% compared to 11.2% in June, before the revision.
This is the highest level since 1995, when a publication of data.
The average unemployment rate in the EU-27 was 10.4% compared to 10.4% previously. The highest was in Spain, 25.1%, the lowest in Austria, 4.5%.
