The Department of Labor in U.S. released its weekly jobless claims report. As for the week ended August 11 initial unemployment claims rose to 366 000. Prior week data was revised today to 354 000. Economists expected reading of 365 000 instead. Less volatile, four-week average claims reported decrease to 363 750 last week.
